One hundred thousand metric tons of agricultural products were smuggled into China from Ukraine and India from July 2012 to March 2014, a tax evasion of 110 million yuan ($18 million). Customs officials in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, arrested eight people suspected of smuggling peanuts, sorghum, pepper, soybeans, rapeseed, flaxseed and cumin through the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
