Tech firm aims to lead energy saving efforts

After discovering the huge energy saving benefits of porcelain metal-halogen lamps Xinjiang Xianchuang Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Technology Co is looking to popularize the product.

The upgraded porcelain metal-halogen lamp, which was created by the company and research institutes, can save 50 percent of electricity compared to former versions, said Guo Yongxian, president of Xinjiang Xianchuang.

The lamps were proved to have better luminous efficiency, color rendering and a longer service life at a lighting technology application conference held by Beijing Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Center in December 2013.
