Robust demand keeps aluminum firms humming

By Du Juan | China Daily | Updated: 2014-08-29 07:15

Demand for high-end aluminum products will continue to grow in China over the next few years due to the renewed focus on energy conservation and sustainable development, a top industry official said.

Svein Tore Holsether, chief executive officer of Sapa Group, the world's largest aluminum extrusion company based in Oslo, Norway, said his company will work closely with Chinese companies and governments to unlock the growth opportunities and will also make the necessary investments.

"Through our association with the Aluminum Corp of China, or Chinalco, we have gained several valuable insights on doing business in China and also gained opportunities to be closer to clients," said Holsether.
