Amateur league to pedal off

The Chinese Cycling League, only for amateur riders, will spin into action later this year and will be held every year in various Chinese cities. The organizer, the Chinese Cycling Association, aims promote healthy and sustainable development of the sport through an event for all riders. The race will be held in various regions over 2-3 days. Each stop will have 600 to 1,000 riders. China boasts professional road races such the Tour of Beijing, Tour of Qinghai Lake, Tour of China, Tour of Hainan Island and Tour of Boyang Lake.
