Hong Kong movie star Jackie Chan, an anti-drug ambassador in China, urged Chinese youths to draw lessons from the arrest of his son, Jaycee Chan, on suspicion of taking drugs and to stay away from drugs.

The senior Chan said on his micro blog on Wednesday that he was "extremely angry and extremely shocked" after Jaycee was arrested on suspicion of taking drugs at a house in Beijing owned by the elder Chan.

"As a public figure, I am ashamed. As a father, I feel terrible," he said.
