Mongolia will boost tourism development in two provinces near China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region to meet the booming demand from Chinese travelers, Mongolia's top tourism official said.

"Our ministry is seeking a solution to develop the tourism industry in specific provinces, such as Suhbaatar province and Dornod province," said Tsedevdamba Oyungerel, the country's minister of culture, sports and tourism.

The two provinces are adjacent to China and have large steppes with an abundance of horses and a wide variety of birds, said the minister.
