Park ordered to pay$48,800 in death

A local court recently ruled that the city's Xiangshan Park had to pay 300,000 yuan ($48,800) to the family of a man who fell to his death from an aboveground cable car last year, cnr.cn reported on Thursday. The victim, surnamed Zhang, fell from the cable car in the park, also known as Fragrant Hills Park, on Sept 16. His wife and child filed a lawsuit against the park for compensation.
