Barefoot children barely escaped from home

Yu Lin and two other children under age 10 just managed to escape in time from a collapsing home in a village in Xindian township when the magnitude-6.5 earthquake struck Ludian county, Yunnan province, on Sunday.

Yu and his friends were watching television. When they felt the tremor, they immediately fled the house barefoot. As soon as they escaped, the house was leveled to the ground.
