Yunnan in Southwest China is one of the country's most earthquake-prone provinces. Here is a list of the major quakes that struck Yunnan in recent years:

Feb 19, 2013: A magnitude-4.9 quake hit Qiaojia county in Zhaotong, injuring 10 people.

Sept 7, 2012: A magnitude-5.7 quake hit Yiliang county of Zhaotong, leaving 81 people dead and another 821 injured.
