The average starting monthly salary for this year's university graduates reached 2,443 yuan ($391), according to a survey recently published by the Media and Marketing Research Center at Peking University. The survey polled more than 350,000 new graduates, of whom more than 30 percent said they receive financial support from their parents and nearly 40 percent spend all their salary before the next payday.
