161,700 visitors

The number of Chinese visitors to Cambodia's Angkor Wat temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, reached 161,700 in the first six months of this year, a 17 percent increase from the same period the previous year, official data showed. The data from the tourism department in Siem Reap province, where the 12th-century temple is located, showed that China is the second-largest source of foreign tourists to the site after South Korea.
