An IT engineer received a three-year suspended prison sentence on Wednesday after invading a network server and stealing users' data, Beijing Times reported on Thursday. The 30-year-old engineer, surnamed Wang, worked as a security testing engineer at a local company. He hacked into another network company's server and took data over two days in August 2013 to impress colleagues with his technological prowess.
