Bright future expected for K-12 online

China's K-12 online education market is blossoming, and analysts predict it will offer strong business opportunities in the future.

K-12 is shorthand for kindergarten, primary and secondary education.

A report, released in June by Shanghai-based Shenyin & Wanguo Securities, estimates that the Chinese education market will be valued at 700 billion yuan ($117 billion) in five years, and online approaches will take a 400 billion yuan share of that.
