Jiaolong goes deep with Youth Olympics torch

China's manned deep-sea submersible Jiaolong carried the Youth Olympics torch deep into the northwest Pacific Ocean on Saturday. In a more than 10-hour dive, the third of this year's expedition, the vehicle reached a depth of 5,555 meters. In the vessel, the crew demonstrated the torch, flag and mascot of the Games, which will be held in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, on Aug 16 to 28.
