Guangxi's $101b economic plan wins cabinet approval
The Pearl River-Xijiang River Economic Belt Development Plan of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region was approved by the State Council on Wednesday, a move expected to involve investment of 630 billion yuan ($101 billion). Guangxi plans to carry out 166 projects within three years. Ninety-nine of the projects will focus on infrastructure construction, such as renovating the Xijiang shipping channel and building highways and high-speed railways.
