Innovation is essential to Pierre Fabre Laboratories' business model, Bertrand Parmentier, the group CEO, said in an exclusive interview with China Daily during a recent visit to Shanghai.
As the second-largest independent French pharmaceutical laboratory and a leader in retail cosmetic products sold in pharmacies, the group company invests almost 20 percent of its pharmaceutical turnover in R&D.
Its dermo-cosmetic products, which account for more than half of the company's business, include photo-ageing, photo-protection, dry skin, hair health, and slimming products.
