4 officers promoted to rank of general

China's Central Military Commission on Friday promoted four senior military officers to the rank of general. The four promoted officers are Deputy Chief of General Staff of the People's Liberation Army Qi Jianguo, Commander of the Shenyang Military Area Command Wang Jiaocheng, Political Commissar of the Shenyang Military Area Command Chu Yimin, and Political Commissar of the Guangzhou Military Area Command Wei Liang. At a ceremony on Friday, President Xi Jinping, chairman of the Central Military Commission, presented the officers with certificates of command, shook hands with them and expressed his congratulations.
