| Hu JiawangHu Jiawang, 70, has been working with wood-burning kilns for more than 50 years.
Students can gain a doctorate in 10 years, but it takes far longer to become an outstanding operator of the wood-burning kiln. I've been in this business since I was 13; I started by running errands for my master, and gradually became a master myself.
