Tourism heats up Chenzhou

The 2014 China Chenzhou International Hot Spring Leisure Tourism Festival is set to open on Nov 8 in Chenzhou's Rucheng county and close on Nov 23 in Yongxing county.

Xiang Lili, Party chief of Chenzhou, said at a recent meeting that he expects the event to be "a characteristic and influential gala".

Located at the southern end of Hunan province, Chenzhou covers 19,400 square kilometers and has population of 5.1 million people. Thanks to the recently completed high-speed railway systems, its ties with big cities like Changsha and Guangzhou are closer.
