City leaders welcome investment

Full of potential, Hunan province's Chenzhou city has sharpened its competitiveness edge to appeal to more investors.

Its opening up started more than three decades ago. In 1988, the city was recognized by the State Council as one of the demonstration areas for opening up and reform. In 2007, the Ministry of Commerce listed the city as one of the nine major regions focusing on the processing trade.

So Chenzhou became the forerunner in the province's opening up. In 2011, together with other two cities of Hunan, the city was listed as the national demonstration area for relocating industries.
