China's aging citizens reached a population of 200 million at the end of 2013 and will account for more than 30 percent of the country's total population by 2042, according to a circular released on Monday. Ten ministerial-level departments, including the ministries of civil affairs and education, jointly released the circular on Monday, calling for the country to prepare for the coming older society.
