Joint venture's new plant drives capacity forward

The joint venture between China's Dongfeng Motor Corp and French carmaker PSA Peugeot Citroen recently announced plans to build its fourth plant in Chengdu, Sichuan province. The plant will have a capacity of 300,000 vehicles, mostly SUVs and MPVs. Construction on the plant is due to start in the second half of this year and production should begin at the end of 2016.
