With a long history of operations in China, German industrial giant Bayer Group is further enhancing its presence by increasing investment in many fields.

Bayer's roots in China go back to 1882 when the company started to provide dyes for the local market.

China is now Bayer's third-largest single market globally and the largest in the Asia-Pacific region, with more than 13,000 employees and sales of over 3.7 billion euros ($5.1 billion) in 2013.
