Continued support for cooking competition

By Zhang Zhao | China Daily | Updated: 2014-07-07 07:09

METRO Cash & Carry, the world's leading business-to-business wholesaler, announced it would continue its partnership with the prestigious Bocuse d'Or competition - the culinary equivalent of the Olympic Games.

The Asia-Pacific selection round of the contest began on June 26 in Shanghai. METRO provided contestants across the region with meat and fish, to help the top-notch chefs present the best gastronomy they can.

"Bocuse d'Or is dedicated to gastronomic excellence, which perfectly aligns with METRO's own pursuit of the highest level of food safety and quality. We are delighted to provide the food materials for the contest's main courses. We see our partnership with this sophisticated culinary competition as a testimony to our professionalism and understanding of the hotel, restaurant and canteen industry," said Jeroen de Groot, president of METRO China.
