It is a well-established hotel in the heart of the South Korean capital and is becoming increasingly popular with Chinese tourists, especially because of its appealing location next to an exciting shopping experience. Judith Huang explores the route.
The elegant curving roof of the Shilla Hotel Seoul is palatial, yet welcoming. Traditionally Korean and modern at the same time, it reflects the Shilla's storied history.
The Yeong Bin Gwan is a beautiful courtyard complex originally built by the government and the Shilla's pride and joy. It was given to the Samsung Group in 1973 to develop as a hotel and it has hosted foreign heads of state since its completion in 1967.
