Floods kill 134 during first 6 months of year

Floods have claimed 134 lives and left 12 people missing so far this year, the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters said on Tuesday. Floods have affected 19 provinces, regions and municipalities, including 19.35 million residents and 1.29 million hectares of crops. Seven provinces and regions have experienced serious flooding, including Guangdong, Hunan, Guizhou, Jiangxi, Fujian and Zhejiang provinces, and the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
