The recently introduced certification trademark "Estate Wine" will serve as guidance and reference for wine consumers, said domestic wine industry insiders, but some questioned the rationality of the trademark's management system.
Registered by the China Alcoholic Drinks Association and unveiled at the beginning of June, the trademark is used to identify chateau wines produced in China.
Wang Qi, deputy director and secretary-general of the association, said that the trademark would be open to all Chinese wineries for application. The first products with the label will hit the shelves in late August.
