After the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau required subway operators to boost facilities and manpower to guard against terrorism threats, each station has taken action.

A China Daily reporter went to Wangfujing station on the city's subway Line 1 on Monday and saw that several measures had been taken:

The station has three work shifts: morning, evening and night. Each shift has an additional 40 people to conduct security checks at the station's four entry points.
