China's business travel market maintained growth of more than 10 percent this year, faster than the country's GDP growth during the same period. The sales revenue of Ctrip surged 39 percent in the first quarter. Companies and government clients now have more demand for professional and transparent travel services, partly as a result of the bribery scandal of GSK China and a new regulation on the travel expenses of central and state organs. Since the beginning of this year, more government clients and State-owned enterprises have contacted Ctrip for consultancy and travel services. Internet and mobile Internet services are having an increasing influence on the business travel market. Online orders now account for more than 40 percent of the Ctrip's total orders. And over 15 percent of orders are placed via the apps developed by the company."
