There can be hundreds of kinds of noodles in China, even in southwest China's Chongqing, where the noodle is not even a staple.

Yi gen mian gained widespread attention after appearing in local media. Crowds converged on the restaurant serving it, which now sells more than 300 bowls of noodles a day.
