Happy campers

Chinese students and parents are finding a lot to like in summer-camp programs that allow young people to study abroad, experience new cultures and become independent, Liu Zhihua reports.

In 2012, Beijing resident Zhang Ying made a decision that she has never regretted.

That summer, she paid about 40,000 yuan ($6,400) for her 13-year-old daughter Jingjing to go to a summer camp in New York.
