Annual seminar for overseas Chinese

The Conference on Overseas Chinese Pioneering and Developing in China, an annual seminar for returning Chinese talent to exchange ideas and projects on doing business in China, debuted in Hubei province in 2001.

Hubei is known as a sound educational and technological center in the country. Some 100,000 Hubei people are learning, working and living abroad, about 10 percent of the country's total.

More than 200 overseas professionals and about 1,000 delegates from the province participated in the first conference, during which more than 68 innovation projects were signed.
