Ex-deputy head of NDRC faces bribery charges

Liu Tienan, former deputy director of the National Development and Reform Commission, is being prosecuted in Langfang Intermediate People's Court in Hebei province on bribery charges.

The Supreme People's Procuratorate said on its website on Monday that Liu was accused of accepting bribes by the Langfang People's Procuratorate, which filed the charge at Langfang Intermediate People's Court.

Liu was dismissed from his post in May 2013 for suspected involvement in "serious disciplinary violations".
