Focus on R&D for special vehicle maker Yongqiang

Dongguan Yongqiang Vehicles Manufacturing Co Ltd, a maker of special-purpose vehicles, is gearing up to tap the markets in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Middle East as China implements its "21st Century Maritime Silk Road" strategy.

The company intends to set up bases for R&D, production and services in Southeast and South Asia and to improve its sales and service network in Africa.

New investments, probably in Indonesia, will focus on emergency rescue and disaster-relief equipment.
