University president: 'New reality' in digital age needs to be embraced

Central China Normal University is beefing up its faculty to face the increasing challenges of the digital age, the university's president said.

"The teaching process should incorporate features of the digital age. Teachers should be able to adapt to the new reality," Yang Zongkai, president of Central China Normal University, said.

Yang said the benefits and increasing importance of "digital teaching" have been apparent for some time.
