The central government will invest a total of 23 billion yuan ($3.7 billion) in the renovation of dilapidated homes in rural areas this year, according to a notice released by the Ministry of Finance, the Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. More than 2.6 million households will benefit from the move, the notice said.
