The average rent expenditure last year for urban residents in Beijing increased by 89.1 percent from the previous year, according to an annual report released by the Beijing Bureau of Statistics on Wednesday. Per capita expenditure for urban residents in the capital in 2013 reached 26,275 yuan ($4,217), an increase of 9.3 percent from 2012, the report said.
