Industry Ministry drawing up guidelines for 3-D printing

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology is formulating a blueprint for the 3-D printing industry, the Shanghai Securities News reported on Tuesday. According to a source cited by the report, the government will announce the blueprint as early as this year, and the document is expected to boost the development of the domestic 3-D printing industry. Statistics from the China 3-D Printing Technology Industry Alliance show the market size stands at about 2 billion yuan ($320.2 million).
