Chen Zhongyi, a researcher of Latin American literature at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said as El otono del patriarca, or The Autumn of the Patriarch, by late Nobel laureate Marquez, finally made it to China with its authentic flavor intact. The first direct translation from the novel's original Spanish into Chinese by Xuan Le, a translator based in Spain, was released on Tuesday.
