Beijing launches events to boost awareness

Beijing Public Security Bureau launched an anti-terror event on Wednesday, the first in a series of activities around the capital to improve residents' awareness and ability to protect themselves.

Wednesday's event was held at Capital University of Economics and Business. Future events will be promoted in local communities, primary and middle schools as well as enterprises throughout the capital.

Wang Yong, an officer from the bureau, said it is important to tell residents how to deal with potential terror attacks.
