By Hao Nan | China Daily | Updated: 2014-06-11 07:02

Guangxi Beibu Gulf Bank can continue to issue Guihua debit cards after two courts in the autonomous region ruled against a lawsuit accusing the bank of trademark infringement.

Nanning City Commercial Bank, predecessor of Guangxi Beibu Gulf Bank, started an in-house trial of the card in December 2003 and officially issued the card in the city in August 2004 after approval from the People's Bank of China Nanning.

The debit card featured a design showing a branch of guihua, or sweet osmanthus, the flower of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
