Chinese economists had mixed reactions to the implications of the European Central Bank's monetary easing.
The ECB on Thursday night announced interest rate cuts (with negative rates under certain circumstances) and other measures meant to boost bank lending to fight deflation and weak growth.
Wang Tao, chief China economist with UBS AG, said in a report that the move marked a shift of the global monetary pattern from a "tight Europe and accommodative United States" to an "accommodative Europe and tight US".
