Xi'an tech entrepreneurs aim for the top in the semiconductor industry

Four Silicon Valley veterans are hoping Xi'an, an ancient Chinese capital, could be their lucky place to start a new business.

"Xi'an is a good place to have a high tech startup," said Jason Cheng, CEO of programmable integrated circuit maker Xi'an Intelligence Silicon Tech Co Ltd.

The Taiwan-born business man said he was still getting to grips with the dry weather and spicy food but believed his small office deep inside a building full of software startups is where his dream was meant to start.
