Meteorologists expect heavy rain in south

Heavy rain will hit parts of southern China on Thursday, the country's weather observatory said on Wednesday. Heavy rain will sweep the Sichuan Basin, the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, as well as Guizhou, Yunnan and Hunan provinces, the National Meteorological Center said. Rain will also batter the central and eastern parts of the Inner Mongolia autonomous region as well as northeastern China over the next three days.
