Xiangsheng contest

Enteries for the third Nankai Cup National Crosstalk New Works Competition are now being accepted. Participants have until March 2015 to prepare for it. The competition is organized by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Ballad Singers Association. Nankai district in Tianjin is famous for its xiangsheng or cross-talk comedians, including Ma Sanli and Guo Degang. Since its inception in 2009, the contest has discovered fresh talent in the ancient art form.
