An energy official who is being investigated by prosecutors on allegations that he accepted bribes apparently led a frugal life, a news report said. Wei Pengyuan, a deputy director at the National Energy Administration, was seen as a frugal person by his colleagues, the Beijing Times reported on Thursday.
