Fuzhou Special:Node city Fuzhou rebuilding the maritime Silk Road

Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian province in East China, is trying to restore its glory as a key point on the maritime Silk Road.

The efforts came after President Xi Jinping called for "a maritime Silk Road in the 21st century" to be built when he addressed the Indonesian parliament in October.

Fuzhou's ambitions were made clear at the 16th Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade, which started on May 18 in the city.
