China's evacuation missions in recent years
Thailand, 2008
In November, 3,346 Chinese, including 18 from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, were evacuated from Thailand via 12 chartered flights arranged by the Chinese government. The evacuation was launched after the Bangkok airport closed because of an anti-government protest.
