Businessman cheated out of 700,000 yuan
A businessman was cheated out of 700,000 yuan ($112,000) by a friend who claimed he could get his son a job with the National People's Congress, Beijing Times reported. The businessman, surnamed Wu, asked one of his friends surnamed Wang for help, and gave him 700,000 yuan. Wang promised Wu that he would help his son get a job with the National People's Congress but didn't come through.
