In Tianjin, tourists wander through the former concession districts and admire the grand architecture of the past, but there is one place they always return to - the river Haihe.
A cruise down the river is a must, while a stroll on the banks will bring visitors close to its numerous bridges, each more beautiful than the last. Now, there is a new attraction - a bar and lounge right on the water's edge where you can enjoy some classic cocktails.
The St. Regis Tianjin is the only hotel that boasts its own little stretch of river bank, and it takes full advantage of this privilege each summer by opening up its lounge by the river for al fresco wining and dining.
